Try with: Sustained or Rhythmic sounds
Ideas: Some deep, slightly synthetic intensity without too much aggressive character. Rate, Spread, Speed, and Mask are great ways to get subtle variation. This would probably sound great with an additional delay or long pre-delay verb in series.
