In addition to the already useful Tone and Space macro controls, we’ve added a third and very powerful Mod control - giving you total control over the range of variation in each sound, and allowing you to change the emotional impact of the patch to match the action in your scene.

If you’re up for further customization, you can use any sound’s modulation connections as a starting block for something entirely different - a great way to learn the limitless modulation potential in LION.

Every preset in Spectral No. 2 has Tone, Space, and Mod macro controls to shape the sound with ease:

  • Tone changes the core sound, generally affecting oscillator, oscillator mix, and other essential sound shaping parameters;

  • Space changes any parts of the patch which give a sense of space - reverbs, delays, stereo effects, etc;

  • Mod is a convenient way to control the amount of ‘third row’ modulation from one place, allowing you to contol the amount of movement in the patch.
